Rental Policies
DISCLAIMER: By booking a reservation
with BEACH HOUSE RENTALS OF DESTIN, you are stating
that you have fully read, understand, and agree
to the rental policies listed herein the BEACH
HOUSE RENTALS OF DESTIN Rental Policies.
RESERVATIONS:
- Reservations
may be made up to one year in advance either
online by visiting www.destindays.com
or www.beachhousedestin.com
or toll free at 1-866-334-GULF (4853).
- All reservations
must be made by an adult over the age of 25
with a valid credit card and this adult must
be staying in the property. A minimum of one
person over the age of 25 for every two people
staying in the property is required. No chaperoned
parties or vacationing students are permitted
and will be subject to immediate eviction and
forfeiture of both security deposit and rental
fees.
- Reservations
made under a false pretense will be subject
to eviction and forfeiture of rental fees.
- Destin
Days reserves the right to make a substitute
accommodation for you if circumstances demand.
ADVANCE
RENTAL PAYMENT/ SECURITY DEPOSITS:
- Advance
Rental Payment of $300-$500 for condos and $1000
for houses is required at the time of booking
the reservation and may be made only by a major
credit card.
- Advance
payments are applied towards the total rental
amount, which is due 45 days prior to arrival.
All Advance Payments are held in an interest
bearing escrow account, where all interest will
accrue to DESTIN DAYS.
- To avoid
cancellation, Rental Payment balance is due
in full 45 days prior to check-in and may be
made by traveler's check, bank money order,
cashier's check, or a major credit card. We
accept personal checks if received 45 days before
arrival date.
- All Advance
Payments are held in an interest bearing escrow
account, where all interest will accrue to DESTIN
DAYS
'PEACE
OF MIND' DAMAGE WAIVER:
- A Damage
Waiver fee ($35-$60) will be collected on each
reservation. This 'Peace of Mind' Damage Waiver
provides for up to $2000 of non-intentional
damage to the unit. The person named on the
reservation and all guests staying in the property
will be covered for reported accidental loss
or damage up to the maximum coverage limit.
This does not negate your responsibilities as
a tenant. You must notify Destin Days of ANY
damage to the unit during your occupancy or
this plan is void.
- The Damage
Waiver does not cover theft, gross negligence,
willful or wanton conduct, intentional damage,
lost keys, swimming pool passes, club cards,
or gate cards, excessive wear and tear, excessive
cleanup, unauthorized late check-outs, pets,
smoking, or any other violation of our rental
policies. Additionally, you authorize Destin
Days to charge the credit card on file with
any additional damage payments.
CHANGE/
CANCELLATIONS:
- All
reservations that are not paid in full within
forty-five (45) days of the check-in date will
be cancelled and all advance payments will be
forfeited.
- A fee
in the amount of $30.00 will be charged to change
any reservation scheduled to arrive greater
than 45 days from the check-in date. A fee in
the amount of $100.00 will be charged to change
any reservation scheduled to arrive 45 days
or less from the check-in date. This change
fee does not apply to those guests looking to
extend their stay.
- All reservations,
excluding monthly rentals, cancelled greater
than forty-five (45) days prior to check-in
date will receive a full refund of any advance
payments, minus the administration fee and $50
cancellation fee. All reservations, excluding
monthly rentals, cancelled forty-five (45) days
or less prior to check-in date will forfeit
their Rental Payment and administration fee
unless Destin Days can procure a similar guest
reservation for that property for the original
rental duration or greater.
- For monthly
rentals, reservations cancelled greater than
ninety (90) days prior to check-in date will
receive a full refund of any advance payments,
minus administration fee and a $50 cancellation
fee. Monthly rentals cancelled ninety (90) days
or less prior to check-in date will forfeit
their Advance Payment and administration fee.
- Early departures
for any reason, including but not limited to
inclement weather, do not warrant the refund
of any advance payments or rent.
- If the
National Weather Service issues a Hurricane
Warning (NOT Tropical Storm Warning) for the
Destin area, currently registered guests will
be refunded any unused portion of rent from
the time they check-out of the property. Guests
scheduled to arrive during a Hurricane Warning
may either shorten their stay to come in after
the warning is lifted and will be refunded any
unused portion of rent or they can choose to
cancel their reservation in its entirety and
receive a full refund of any advanced payment
minus a $50 cancellation fee. However, if no
hurricane warning is issued specific to the
Destin area, and you choose to cancel your reservation,
you will loose your Advance Payment.
CHECK-IN/
CHECK-OUT:
- BEACH
HOUSE RENTALS OF DESTIN utilizes a self check-in
process for the convenience of our guests.
- To avoid
hefty additional charges, it is imperative that
all guests follow the check-in and check out
times listed both below and in your confirmation
package to avoid interrupting maintenance, cleaning,
and/or inspection personnel working hard to
ensure your property meets our quality standards.
- Check-in
is 4 P.M. CST and check out is NO LATER THAN
10:00 A.M. CST. Please be respectful of these
times as cleaning / maintenance crews are required
to follow strict scheduling. During peak seasons
and holidays, there is a possibility that a
unit will not be ready by 4PM. We greatly appreciate
your patience as we are working hard to ensure
your property is properly cleaned and meets
our quality standards.
FURNISHINGS:
- All
rental properties have fully equipped kitchens,
coffee makers, dishwashers, color TV's, microwave
ovens, DVD players, central heat and air conditioning,
telephones, washer & dryer, a blender, an
iron and ironing board, linens and towels. All
linens, including towels and blankets are to
be used in the unit only. It is prohibited to
rearrange furniture. You should bring your own
beach towels with you. Locked closets are maintained
by home owners for personal use. Please respect
these areas. Some owners provide beach toys,
chairs, and umbrellas for use by Destin Days
guests. You may want to arrive at the property
and review the beach items before procuring
additional items. No guarantees on beach items
can be made by Destin Days.
CLEANING:
- Rental
units will be cleaned to quality standards prior
to your arrival as well as after your departure.
No daily maid service is provided. Please try
to maintain units as if they were your own.
Renters are responsible for the cleaning of
the unit during their stay and for leaving the
unit in good condition at check-out. If units
are found abnormally dirty at check-out, additional
charges will be charged to your credit card
to assist in performing a deep cleaning of the
unit.
- For those
individuals reserving properties for less than
seven (7) nights, renters will be invoiced for
cleaning fees.
RATES
AND AMENITIES:
RATES
& AMENITIES ON DESTINDAYS.COM ARE SUBJECT
TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE
- Thanksgiving
and Christmas holiday reservations will include
a 10% increase to the currently listed rates.
- Rates do
not include cleaning fees for those reservations
booked less than seven (7) nights.
- Rates do
not include sales tax.
- Rates do
not include the $45 non-refundable administration
fee.
- Reservations
scheduled to check-in between the months of
March and October are entitled to free amenities
offered by local area vendors that have setup
an agreement with Destin Days and their guests.
Each reservation will be issued an Amenity Card
that will entitle them to one free service from
each participating vendor. Details regarding
the amenity program and current participating
vendors can be found at www.destindays.com.
QUESTIONS/
COMPLAINTS:
-
The property owners and management work hard
to ensure that the rental property and its amenities
are in place and in good working order. Management
will be available to handle questions, complaints
and supervise maintenance. In case of a maintenance
problem, management will strive to have the
problem repaired as soon as possible after being
notified. However, no refund or rate adjustment
shall be made for unforeseen failures such as
the supply of electricity, water, pool filtration
systems, air conditioning, telephone, television
or cable service, appliances, etc. It is guest's
obligation to report any problems or damage
immediately to management.
PETS:
- Absolutely
no pets are allowed in rental units. Your credit
card will be charged for carpet cleaning and
a flea spray treatment if any evidence of a
pet(s) is found in your unit.
- Violation
of the No Pet policy will result in immediate
eviction and forfeiture of rent.
KEYS:
- A service
fee of $25 during normal business hours and
$50 after 6pm will be charged to the credit
card on file if Destin Days is called to unlock
a unit due to a guest being locked out.
SMOKING:

Absolutely no smoking is allowed in rental units.
If you do smoke, please be sure to smoke outside
and dispose of all cigarette butts safely in
an ashtray.
- Violation
of the No Smoking policy will result in immediate
eviction, forfeiture of rent, and extra charges
for deep cleaning the property.
GRILLING:
- Grilling
is only allowed in designated areas for all
condominiums. Grilling on balconies of condos
in NOT allowed.
- For those
properties that have grills, it is the responsibility
of the guests to clean the grill after each
use.
RENTER
RESPONSIBILITY:
- Guests
are responsible for the property, its contents,
and themselves during occupancy. Guests must
lock windows and doors securely when not on
the premises. Each property is privately owned,
so décor, colors and inventories may
change. Rearranging the furniture or removing
any items from the unit is prohibited.
- It is
further understood that exceeding the maximum
occupancy will result in immediate eviction
and forfeiture of rent.
- The renter
named in this agreement will be responsible
for ensuring that both themselves and all guests,
whether they are registered in the rental unit
or not, adhere to the rules and regulations
affecting the building and/ or community that
you are staying in.
- The renter
acknowledges that management, property owners,
and employees do not carry personal liability
insurance and can not be held responsible regardless
of fault, for any accident, loss, damage or
injury suffered by the renter, members of their
party or any other guests which the renter or
their party have allowed access to the property,
regardless if said loss is a result directly
or indirectly from acts of god, danger incident
to the sea, any body of water, fire, breakdown
of machinery, equipment, acts of government
or other authorities, delays or cancellations
of or changes in itineraries or schedule or
from acts of omission of any airline.
- Furthermore,
the renter will release and hold harmless any
and all parties involved with the rental, management,
and reservations of the property and to release
and hold harmless it's owners or representatives
for any loss or damage to personal property
or for any injury and/or death.
- Representatives
of management or owners may enter the premises
at any reasonable time to make repairs. Management
will not be held responsible for acts of theft
or vandalism or other damages to the guests'
personal items left in the unit. Neither management,
nor the owner is responsible for personal items
left on the premises by guest upon departure.
Units may not be sublet.
BEACH
HOUSE RENTALS OF DESTIN
is the acting agent of the property owner and
reserves the right to make exceptions to the above
policies at any time for the best interest of
the property owner(s).
